Guided MLRS

The Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System is the standard 227mm guided rocket for HIMARS and the M270 launcher family. GMLRS combines GPS/INS guidance with a unitary or alternative-warhead payload, delivering munitions accurately at ranges of roughly 70 kilometers, while the Extended-Range GMLRS variant fielded from 2023 onward pushes that to 150 kilometers.

GMLRS has been produced in large volume at Lockheed Martin's Camden, Arkansas plant with recent surge investments to exceed 14,000 rockets per year. Ukrainian use since 2022 made the rocket a centerpiece of precision deep fires doctrine and prompted allied orders from Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, and others.
