Project Convergence is the U.S. Army's JADC2 campaign of learning, structured as annual capstone experiments that stitch together sensors, networks, and effects across services and allies. Each Capstone iteration — Convergence 20, 21, 22, and Capstone 4 in 2024 — increases scope, bringing in Marine Corps, joint partners, and AUKUS and Five Eyes contributions.
The effort is driven by Army Futures Command and the Joint Modernization Command, and directly feeds into the Army's Unified Network Plan, Integrated Tactical Network, and the Integrated Battle Command System. Convergence has demonstrated dramatic reductions in the 'sensor-to-shooter' kill chain timeline, validating the programs-not-platforms approach to achieving JADC2.
