The AH-64 Apache is the Army's primary attack helicopter, armed with a 30mm M230 chain gun, Hellfire missiles, and 70mm rocket pods. The current AH-64E Guardian variant features a mast-mounted Longbow radar, improved engines, enhanced communications, and manned-unmanned teaming with Gray Eagle and other UAS.
The Apache has served in every major U.S. ground conflict since Panama and is flown by 16-plus allied militaries. Continuous modernization through Version 6.5 and the Modernized Apache program sustains its relevance.
