The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is the U.S. Navy's primary carrier-based strike fighter, replacing the legacy F/A-18 Hornet, F-14 Tomcat, and A-6 Intruder. It operates alongside the F-35C in the modern carrier air wing and will remain in service well into the 2040s.

Block III upgrades introduce conformal fuel tanks, an advanced cockpit, and improved network capability. The EA-18G Growler variant provides airborne electronic attack and is the only tactical jammer platform in the U.S. inventory.
