The EA-18G Growler is the Navy's dedicated airborne electronic-attack aircraft, based on the F/A-18F Super Hornet airframe and equipped with the ALQ-218 receiver suite and ALQ-99 (transitioning to Next Generation Jammer) pods.
The Growler replaced the EA-6B Prowler in both Navy and Marine Corps service and provides the U.S. military's sole carrier-capable jamming platform, often deployed in support of joint-force strike packages well beyond the carrier air wing.
