OEM: General Dynamics Land Systems

First Produced: 2023

Status: Active

Role: Mobile protected firepower combat vehicle

Primary Operator: U.S. Army

The M10 Booker is a lightweight, tracked armored combat vehicle selected to provide direct fire support to Army Infantry Brigade Combat Teams. It mounts a 105mm cannon in a manned turret and shares subsystem lineage with both the Abrams and Griffin II prototype.

The vehicle is named after two U.S. soldiers awarded combat honors: Staff Sgt. Stevon Booker (KIA Iraq 2003) and Pvt. Robert D. Booker (KIA Tunisia 1943). First production vehicles were delivered to the Army in 2023 with an intended fleet of more than 500 vehicles.

The M10 is not intended as a main battle tank; it is designed to give light formations credible anti-armor firepower without the logistical burden of a 70-ton Abrams.
