The GPS III constellation is the latest block of U.S. positioning, navigation, and timing satellites. Each GPS III space vehicle delivers three times better accuracy and eight times improved anti-jamming performance over GPS IIF, and adds the new L1C civil signal interoperable with Galileo.
GPS IIIF, the follow-on block now in production, adds Regional Military Protection, a search-and-rescue payload, and an accuracy-improvement laser retro-reflector. GPS III/IIIF maintains U.S. leadership in global PNT services as one of the most widely used space capabilities on earth.
